Hi! I’m Melina McLarty, a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo Systems Design Engineering. My program was coop, and this introduced the most exciting component of my life, the 4 month “switch ups”. Basically, every 4 months I switched between school and working. The jobs were fun, challenging, and often in a city outside of Waterloo. I’ve worked for The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, Ford Motor Company, United Parcel Service, IBM, and VMware to see more check out my resume. Each job came with new responsibilities, new co-workers, a new city and great new experiences.

I will try to keep things updated here. I recently moved out to Silicon Valley to work full time for VMware as an interaction designer. I’m passionate about understanding how people interact with the world around them and designing great products and experiences to support these interactions.
